Has anybody used baby johnson powder and oil for dry hair?

I 've been suggested to use that for my hair as it's very dry at the end and abit split even though i did trim it every 5 weeks and i am using Kerastase shamppo %26amp; condi %26amp; styler.I HAVE CURLY HAIRHas anybody used baby johnson powder and oil for dry hair?
You wouldn't use powder on dry hair. That is only for removing oil, but I find it is not entirely satisfactory.

The oil is only used to coat the hair and make is shine. It is an oil, after all. If you have dry hair, you need water, not oil, in the hair. Oil is only a surface treatment -- it is not going to help the hair on the inside where it is dry.

You need to use moisturizers. Something that will put water in the hair and keep it there. Look for Nexxus or Focus21 products. Redken has a moisturizer that is pretty good. Don't use strong shampoos to remove all the water from your hair. Those split ends need to be removed... not trimmed, but make sure you get them all cut off. Whatever you are doing to damage the hair needs to be stopped. If you keep on doing those same bad things, nothing else you do is going to help you. Dry hair doesn't happen by itself.Has anybody used baby johnson powder and oil for dry hair?
I think maybe how you're supposed to use these are:

-instead of washing and blow drying your hair every day, using baby powder applied to your roots to absorb excess oil. This way, you won't have to wash your hair every day and it will cut down on the damage done to your hair by washing and heat styling.

-applying a tiny amount of oil to the ends (if your hair is dry) and a small amount to your damp hair before blow drying to help keep frizz down and to make your curls look healthier.

This is what I would guess that you would need to do with the products you listed
the only thing you can do with the split ends is have them cut off. a real pain i know - i have curly hair and it takes a looong time to get any length to it.

for the dry ends you could use a deep conditioning treatment. wash your hair and put the conditioner on in the evening and leave it on for as long as possible. I condition my hair on a sunday and leave it on all day and wash it off before i go to bed. Oil would be fine - you could use olive oil, or you could buy a product called Ojon. They do a wonderfull deep conditioning oil that's solid, you take a little out and melt it in your hands and you use it for deep conditioning or just on dry hair. It leaves your curls really shiny and smells like chocolate. also it helps to have days when you don't dry your hair with heat. Hope this helps and - love your curls
i use to have the same problem but i didnt have lik dandruff and stuff but it was dry and split cuz i showered lik 3 times a day. i used head %26amp; shoulders dry scalp care and it worked like a charm! first i used h%26amp;s shampoo %26amp; then i conditioned with garnier frutis sleek and shine conditioner. hope this helped! :]
yeah this stuff is a lifesaver. i have blonde hair and i use it on my roots when they get greasy and i cant wash them.

i dont think it works too well on darker hair though. too much, and itll look like dandruff.

I have blonde hair and I use Johnson's baby powder to get rid of the oil when I haven't washed it in a few days.
