Yes, Baby powder is actually recommended for hair with oil problems. The powder absorbs all the oil. It is a good idea to try it but careful how much you use!
The powder doesn't damage your hair or anything but it is known to dry it out. However when you want your hair to still look clean in betweenn washes then put a little bit in the roots :)
