I read somewhere that if your puppy isn't old enough to do flea powder, you do baby powder?

What do they mean by that? Talc or cornstarch?

Because, I think my puppy might be allergic tp the perfumed talc I've been putting on him ^_^';I read somewhere that if your puppy isn't old enough to do flea powder, you do baby powder?
If your puppy is too young for the chemicals and back of the neck treatments (i.e. Frontline), then talk to your vet, as there is a daily pill you can give to puppies to control fleas. The pill only lasts for 24 hours, but will kill fleas in that time. You'll need to give it daily until you get thru the flea life cycle, or your dog is eventually old enuf for the Frontline type of treatments.I read somewhere that if your puppy isn't old enough to do flea powder, you do baby powder?
Why are you using powder? If you have a flea problem your best bet is to call the vet as over the counter flea meds aren't very good. They will cover the problem up for a while, but most likely it will come back.

Your vet will probably give you flea meds without having to see the dog if cost is an issue.
avoid powder especially for young puppies...it's bad for them and will cause allergy to their skin....

there is this kind of pills for dogs (but i forgot what is it called) after the dog take the pills, when the flea/bug suck its blood, it will die...ask the vet for it...
Powder is a horrible thing for puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats. They should NOT breathe in the powder, as it can cause lung problems!!!

If the pup has fleas, get Advantage and that will kill the fleas on the dog and the fleas that are in the house that will hatch out and need to feed.

AVOID POWDER!!!
Ok...common sense now.....why would you think Talc would stop fleas?

Go to your vet they will give you a flea treatment for a dog of any age.
Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.

You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

Not a great idea to put perfumed anything on your dog - especially since the talc isn't doing anything but irritating his nose and possibly causing lung damage! See your vet for an appropriate flea control solution.
