Where does the scent in baby powder come from?

Baby powder is generally made from talc. This is due to its absorbent, softness qualities and the fact that it is safe for most of the population to use.

The talc doesn't have an odour. A fragrance is added during crushing and filling. Different manufacturers will use 1 or more fragrances; an example is lavender.

You can get odourless baby powder.Where does the scent in baby powder come from?
