Not talc, it's the number one cause of poisoning in infants, so I assume it is bad for dogs too. Cornstarch might be ok.Can anyone tell me if you can put baby powder on a dog after it dries from a bath to help it to smell better.?
Dogs have a different pH balance to there skin then people do so products you use could really irritate a dogs skin. Its best to get something formulated for dogs either from your vet, a feed store, or even petsmart/pet supermarket
the fragrances in the powder might break out his skin, baking soda would be better :)
Dont put baby powder on him, although it wont hurt. It will just agrivate his skin. Use either dog perfume or you can use some of your sent stuff and spray it on him. I would reccomend notgetting it on their face. Also, if it is an unhelthy smell, call the vet. It could be a little disease starting. Hope i helped!
i don't think it would be good for the dog but if u did it would probolay not work hi
Actually, you should use shampoo specifically formulated for dogs. Not only do they have ingredients that are animal safe, they also have some that have built-in odor removers.

Guess what else they have? Puppy perfume! You can keep Fido smelling fresh in between baths.

Check out this link to see some available:

Best not to, as this really could irritate your dogs' skin if not completely brushed out each time.

I use Baby Dog scented shampoo, and for inbetween baths, I mix a little in a demister spray, and use it as a grooming spray! It smells super! =)
