Can i use baby powder in a cloth diaper w/o ruining it?

QUESTION IS FOR PEOPLE THAT KNOW THE ANSWER ONLY!! NO DISPOSABLE ANSWERS!Can i use baby powder in a cloth diaper w/o ruining it?
I raised two infants using cloth diapers and used baby powder on both babies with no harm to either baby or diaper.Can i use baby powder in a cloth diaper w/o ruining it?
I am sure you can, but baby powder is actually bad for the baby. It gets inhaled so it can cause respiratory problems, and it actually is worse for diaper rash. The powder mixes with the wet and makes a paste that sticks to babies skin. You want the moisture to be drawn away from the skin to prevent diaper rash.





I learned this from my First Baby class I took at the hospital. The nurse said she thinks baby should be taken off the market as it poses health hazards.
I personally would'nt use it at all. Its been linked to respiratory problems like asthma and can also cause UTI and yeast infections.
skip the powder, as a few others said. it doesn't help at all. Just stik with Petroleum jelly to lube up his/her butt. It keeps the moisture off their little bottom.
Yes, before disposables came into vogue it was used all the time.
baby powder - as in talc??





if this is the case - it should do no harm to the cloth diaper as it gets absorbed by moisture and tends to disappear quite quickly.
yes it washes right out....make sure you get a talc free powder as talc is bad for baby to breath in, corn starch is a natural powder u Can use.......as for creams and petroleum jelly use those sparingly as greasy things can cause ur diapers to lose absorbency and petroleum can also effect water proof covers
i would think that since cloth diapers are made to be washed it would be perfectly fine although it is not good to use baby powder because the baby can breath in the powder in the air and it could cause serious breathing problems even asthma! ask the babys dr. they may know better!
haha...of course you can use baby powder. you can use a cream for their bottoms too.
